Abstract

ZUCOLOTO, Moises; DE SOUZA LIMA, Julião Soares  and  COELHO, Ruimario Inacio. GEOSTATISTIC USE OF THE LIKELIHOOD OF THE OCCURRENCE OF PANAMA DISEASE IN BANANA 'PRATA ANÃ'. Rev. Fac. Nac. Agron. Medellín [online]. 2009, vol.62, n.1, pp.4793-4796. ISSN 0304-2847.

This research was carried out to assess the likelihood and spatial variability in the incidence of disease Panama in an area cultivated with banana 'Prata Anã'' in a cycle of culture. The work was conducted on a commercial farm in the municipality of Aracruz, state of Espírito Santo, Brazil. The probability of occurrence of Panamá disease in the area was evaluated by means of kriging interpolation indicative, which is a basic process of kriging. To achieve this goal, the first step was the transformation of plants with occurrence of disease equal to one (1) and the occurrence of the disease does not equal to 0 (zero). The incidence of the disease showed spatial dependence of 10 m with the exponential model fit the data, allowing for kriging indicative estimate the probability of occurrence of the disease in the area with the construction of the map, making it an important tool to optimize the preventive measures.

Keywords : Fusarium oxysporum Schlecht f. sp. cubense.; spatial dependence; krigagem.
