Abstract

ALVAREZ, ALBA; LENIS, CAROLINA  and  VELEZ, IMELDA. First report of two species of trematodes (Digenea: Proterodiplostomidae) for Colombia in Caiman crocodylus fuscus (Reptilia: Crocodylia). Caldasia [online]. 2005, vol.27, n.2, pp.287-291. ISSN 0366-5232.

Two species of Digenea were recorded for the first time in Colombia (Proterodiplostomidae) Prolecithodiplostomum cavum and Massoprostatum longum, which were recovered from the small intestine of Caiman crocodilos fuscus (Reptilia). The hosts were collected in a zoofarm located in the Department of Sucre. The trematodes are illustrated, measured and described.
