Abstract

MUESES-CISNEROS, JONH JAIRO. Anuran fauna associated to a system of forest ponds in the kilometer 11 road Leticia-Tarapacá (Amazonas-Colombia). Caldasia [online]. 2007, vol.29, n.2, pp.387-395. ISSN 0366-5232.

During 34 days a survey of a system of forest ponds in the kilometer 11 road Leticia-Tarapacá was carried out with the purpose of observing what anuran species activity (night by night) in the pond and which of them present some type of reproductive activity. Thirty-one species of frogs were identified of which eight were calling, three amplectant, two with egg masses and seven gravid females. In 23 of 34 days there was call activity, as aggregations and/or individual calls. All the aggregations are formed by individuals of one species and only a single aggregation was counted per night. The variation in the depth and extension of the pond are positively correlated with the number of observed and/or captured specimens.
