Abstract

FORERO-M., DIANA MARÍA  and  MURILLO-A., JOSÉ. Taxonomic revision of Lellingeria (Polypodiaceae) from Colombia. Caldasia [online]. 2010, vol.32, n.2, pp.311-337. ISSN 0366-5232.

A taxonomic revision of the genus Lellingeria in Colombia that includes a key to the species, descriptions, illustrations and comments about the geographical and altitudinal distribution for each species is presented. The 19 species recorded for Colombia are mostly found in the Andean region, although five are also present in the Amazonian, Caribbean and Pacific regions of Colombia. The species occur from the sea level up to 3750 m, but they are more diverse between 1200 and 2500 m. Lellingeria major, L. myosuroides and L. subsessilis are the most frequent and widely distributed species in the country. A new species is also described and L. mitchelliae and L. tenuicula are recorded for the first time for Colombia.

Keywords : Grammitid ferns; Grammitis; Lellingeria; Polypodiaceae; Taxonomy.
