We present 49 new lichen records from El Cajas and El Ángel páramos, in the provinces of Azuay and Carchi, respectively. We found the following new records to Ecuador: Cladonia scabriuscula, Cora accipiter, C. caucensis, C. dalehana, C. hafecesweorthensis, C. inversa, Dictyonema caespitosum, and Diploschistes hypoleucus; Cladonia corymbosula as new record to mainland Ecuador, and the new chemotype Cladonia squamosa QUI, with stictic and barbatic acids. 39 new records for Azuay and Carchi provinces are reported.
