Study of recently acquired specimens in the Colombian National Hebarium (COL) results in the discovery of five new species of Asteraceae of the genera Lessingianthus (Vernonieae, 1 species), Hebeclinium (Eupatorieae, 1 species) and Pentacalia (Senecioneae, 3 species). We describe and illustrate these novelties. Additionally, Espeletiopsis laxiflora is reclassified as Coespeletia laxiflora, establishing the presence of Coespeletia Cuatrec. in Colombia.
