Abstract

CAMACHO B., Angela S.. ACOPLAMIENTO DE PLASMONES LOCALIZADOS EN NANOSISTEMAS . Rev. acad. colomb. cienc. exact. fis. nat. [online]. 2012, vol.36, n.138, pp.15-24. ISSN 0370-3908.

The rapid development of Nanotecnology has allowed finding new optical properties of nanosystems, which give rise to investigation of light-matter interactions at nanoscale. In this work we present a systematic study of surface-localized plasmons coupling in systems of two metallic nanoparticles following shape, size and distance between them. We observed the enormous enhancement of the near field, which is strongly dependent on the plasmon creation and the charge distribution at the surface. We also find out the plasmon frequency dependence on the above parameters and discuss the different physical concepts underlying the maximum near field and maximum frequency.

Keywords : : Superficial plasmon resonance; metallic nanoparticles; plasmonic coupling.
