Abstract

VANEGAS-BERROUET, Katherin Maritza  and  SALAZAR-YEPES, Mauricio. New records of Pucciniales on Araceae, Bromeliaceae, Dryopteridaceae, Grosulariaceae, Juncaceae, Lamiaceae y Poaceae in páramos of Antioquia, Colombia. Rev. acad. colomb. cienc. exact. fis. nat. [online]. 2020, vol.44, n.170, pp.227-240.  Epub June 15, 2021. ISSN 0370-3908.  https://doi.org/10.18257/raccefyn.986.

This paper aims to present the new Pucciniales records collected in the department of Antioquia at the páramos of Santa Inés, Serranía de las Baldías, Sonsón, and Sol on plants from the families Araceae, Bromeliaceae, Dryopteridaceae, Grossulariaceae, Juncaceae, Lamiaceae, and Poaceae. We report two new species for Colombia (Puccinia pseudoatra and Puccinia pygmaea) and fourteen new hosts parasitized with rust in the country. These new hosts show how the páramos are shelters for rusts of economic importance such as Kweilingia divina, Puccinia coronata, Puccinia menthae, Puccinia recondita, Puccinia striiformis, and Uredo anthurii.

Keywords : High mountain; Biodiversity; Fungi; Rust; Uredinales.
