Resumen

PIAZZINI SUAREZ, Carlos Emilio. Historiography of Archeology in Colombia. A Geographical Approach. Rev. colomb. antropol. [online]. 2015, vol.51, n.2, pp.15-48. ISSN 0486-6525.

This paper offers a geographical perspective of the history of archeology, with regard to the narratives about the becoming of the discipline that have been produced from Colombia. Local texts are mapped in relation to Latin America and Western production on the topic, identifying relationships between geopolitics of knowledge and the histories of the discipline. Likewise, schemes of valuating the geographical difference between different paths of archeology are inquired, which have had an effect on narratives that supported or criticized the existence of a "Colombian archeology" during the twentieth century. And from more recent works, a critical reflection is introduced on the national state as a spatial entity which has usually framed the local histories of archeology. Finally lines of work from a multiscale approach are proposed to contribute to an understanding of how were shaped and interlinked local practices that treat with past materialities.
