Abstract

LEVALLE, Sebastián. Challenges for conceptualization with indigenous peoples: between the ontological turn and collaborative research. Rev. colomb. antropol. [online]. 2022, vol.58, n.3, pp.8-33.  Epub Sep 01, 2022. ISSN 0486-6525.  https://doi.org/10.22380/2539472x.2340.

This article addresses the conceptualization with indigenous peoples, a problem that anthropology has historically faced, resorting to the analysis of secondary sources and ethnographic work with organic intellectuals from the Nasa people of Colombia. The work concludes that the combination of collaborative research with elements of the ontological turn in Anthropology allows deepening the collective construction of conceptual vehicles. Therefore, the articulation during the field work of these two lines of thought that do not usually dialogue in the academy is valued.

Keywords : ontology; epistemology; collaborative ethnography; participatory research; qualitative methodology.
