TEDESCO, Graciela María; DIAZ MARENGO, María Victoria y PRIMO, Rosario. Between Stone Plaques and Dance Steps: Tensions and Creativities around Cuarteto as Heritage on the Pedestrian Street of Córdoba, Argentina. Rev. colomb. antropol. [online]. 2025, vol.61, n.3, e2929. This article analyzes the dynamics between the commemorative materiality of the Paseo de la Fama del Cuarteto and the daily life of San Martín pedestrian street (Córdoba, Argentina). The study shows how local policies involved in the institutionalization of cuarteto as a musical genre frame it as a cultural product and tourist resource for the city. At the same time, it reveals how the material heritage of cuarteto intertwines with the everyday practices of this pedestrian space, where different rhythms, tensions, and creative actions emerge. The methodology is based on team ethnographic fieldwork, drawing on the interplay between participant observation records from San Martín Street, photographs, interviews with state workers, informal conversations with the pedestrian public, and the analysis of historical and journalistic documentation, social media publications, and audiovisual documentaries.
