PEREZ-GOMEZ-MARTINEZ, Gonzalo José Francisco et al. Economic and Constructive Feasibility of Reed, Wicker and Marble Powder, to Make Chains in Walls. Rev. Arquit. (Bogotá) [online]. 2023, vol.25, n.1, pp.146-157. Epub 15-Jun-2023. ISSN 1657-0308. https://doi.org/10.14718/revarq.2023.25.3595.
The purpose of the research was to define an alternative system for the construction of the rigid frame of the house. To this end, the objective was to test whether a concrete reinforcement could be achieved with a structure made of reed cane and wicker rod. The theoretical basis of the research included the analysis of references related to the housing cost problem, both in terms of background and definition of the conceptual framework. The methodology included firstly a documentary review, in order to carry out an experimental type of work in the laboratory and develop the mathematical part for the definition of results. From the tests carried out, it was found that concrete chains and castles, with a main reed structure and wicker stirrups, to reinforce a concrete that replaces a part of the sand with marble dust, can have an adequate structural behavior and, in that sense, provide safety to the construction. Therefore, due to its more accessible cost, these materials are viable for use in the self-construction of houses.
