MORALES-GUZMAN, Carlos César. Recovery of urban areas for recreation use with light roof designs. Rev. Arquit. (Bogotá) [online]. 2023, vol.25, n.2, pp.23-35.  Epub 22-Jan-2024. ISSN 1657-0308.  https://doi.org/10.14718/revarq.2023.25.4608.

The design of light roofs (canopies, tensegrity and folding) is an alternative to rescue green areas in the city of Poza Rica, Veracruz. The objective of the study was to rehabilitate the parks in the city, since in the northern part of the state the climate is extremely hot, and this constant effect affects the inhabitants of the city, because, due to this, they cannot be used frequently these recreation areas. Therefore, one of the premises of this investigation will be the climatic conditions of the area, and the infrastructure conditions that exist in the place where the inhabitants carry out their activity. Once these conditions have been evaluated, the first requirements and parameters for the improvement of the infrastructure of these urban areas will be established; this, in turn, entails obtaining a design proposal that will be developed in two phases: the first is the analysis of the site and its context, and the second, the development of architectural models that adapt to the climatic and urban context of the area. To make use of these surfaces that can improve the quality of life and social coexistence in the urban sprawl of the city. Finally, an applied project is contemplated, presented to the Poza Rica City Council, on what the possible improvements for these spaces would be, if they were to be rehabilitated with architectural objects that modify the conditions of the place for use throughout the day.

Palavras-chave : architectural model; light covers; rescue green areas; urban rehabilitation.
