The market orientation and seed funding have been two topics of primary focus in entrepreneurship studies. However, their association with different types of new enterprises could be change significantly between entrepreneurial activity by necessity and entrepreneurial activity by opportunity. According with this, this paper analyze the relationship between the TEA by necessity and some variables related with market orientation and seed funding in a sample of 37 countries using the dataset of Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) in 2010. One of the most important outcomes was the significant association between the TEA by necessity and the rate of new ventures that don't have any expansion of market in the last year.
