Abstract

LONDONO T, Carlos Mario. The aggregate demand and economic growth in Colombia: 2010 - 2013. Perf. de Coyunt. Econ. [online]. 2013, n.22, pp.39-54. ISSN 1657-4214.

The aggregate demand and economic growth in Colombia: 2010 - 2013 is a brief reflection on the relationship between the behavior of GDP and the components of aggregate demand. In the first part of the paper three times the rate of growth identified in the reference period, where you can see a fairly strong instability in each of these variables, and the challenges are to sustain growth rates obtained in the second quarter of 2013. The second part of the article shows a statistically significant relationship between GDP and each of the components of aggregate demand, taken both individually and collectively.

Keywords : GDP; economic cycle; consumption; investment; public expenditure; exports.
