The Colombian Association for the advance of the clinical research in Colombia (AVANZAR), is a non-profit entity that looks for the development of the clinical research in our country, this entity made an study that its proposals were to know the structure and organization of the ethical research Committees in Colombia ; this study is one of the basic activities of The Research Ethical Commission. This study allows us to know a situational diagnostic about the Research Ethical Committees, in order to make the corresponding actions for the growth of them, and reach their level under the international standards, that let the development of this discipline. The information that we recollected will be use in a confidential way in order to estimate the national standards.
