Abstract

In addition to the plurality of meanings and senses that are given in the language commonly used terms to conflict, violence and peace, are also in the field of social sciences and contemporary political philosophy, a varied meaning for these terms that depend heavily on theoretical approaches, as the levels of reality to which they refer. The way each of these scientific and philosophical approach problems presuppose a view of man, of life in society and the world must necessarily question. The following reflection makes a presentation of conflict, violence and peace from the three main approaches-instinctivistic biological, psycho-sociological or ambientalist and -structural or historical. The paper ends with an analysis from political philosophy and bioethics with the intention of providing some conceptual to a new understanding of conflict, violence and peace.
