The current society receives, among other denominations, late or reflexive modernity, and knowledge society. To explain it we turn to multiple collisions but especially it warns its complexity and intricate system of relationships. He has sought answers to their biggest problems not only in sociology but also in the various forms of social analysis with analysis combining political, economic, cultural and philosophical. A pivotal role played Ulrich Beck and disseminated to characterize risk society. For him, the second modernity has to do with the way the West has been presenting a change In driving Ideas that promoted progress, control, full employment and exploitation of nature. Phenomena such as industrialization and market within capitalism, to mention only one of the most influential processes in modern society have led to globalization, individualization, gender revolution, underemployment and planetary hazards, which are shaping their perspective of risk society, known as Beck. There is, however, a north west and one south. This also poses challenges, new dynamics and questions about the world and survival, but also about core aspects to humans, including health. What are the reasons for paying so much attention to risk and that this, in turn, to interfere at all levels of society? How to face the challenges that society poses risk to health care area? What implications do speak of knowledge, risk, fear and ignorance in health care? These are just some of the questions that arise from the current social dynamics. In this reflection will take into account the characteristics of the risk society outlined by Beck and his relationship with the analysis of public health experts and medical bioethics.
