Abstract

VELASQUEZ FANDINO, Laity A.. The Femicide Event: A Bioethical Interpellation. rev.latinoam.bioet. [online]. 2018, vol.18, n.2, pp.80-99. ISSN 1657-4702.  https://doi.org/10.18359/rlbi.2822.

Can femicide be approached from bioethics? So far, the subject has been treated by feminism as a gender-based crime. This paper relocates the concept based on its meaning in order to include it in the field of bioethics. For this, a hypothesis is proposed to examine the term as an event and explains it using the abductive method. Three stages are described: a place of events, some explanatory categories and an interpellation. As a result, the term femicide event is put forward to incorporate it in bioethics and enable interpellation.

Keywords : event; bioethics; femicide; interpellation.
