Abstract

COELHO RIBAS, João Luiz; GARCIA RODRIGUES, Izabelle Cristina; GARCIA, Ivana de França  and  PEREIRA DOS SANTOS, Vera Lucia. Bioethics: Analysis of the Understanding of Biolaw Using Cases. rev.latinoam.bioet. [online]. 2018, vol.18, n.2, pp.185-194. ISSN 1657-4702.  https://doi.org/10.18359/rlbi.3294.

Healthcare-related legal actions against the state have become increasingly common. The discussion revolves around drugs and treatments that are not in the SUS service list. The aim of this article is to analyze the ethical behavior of graduate health sciences students in situations involving ethics and citizen rights. Researchers used the field research method by administering an online questionnaire which contained a text with ethical and biolaw dilemmas. Results showed that the majority of respondents felt empathy for the actions brought by citizens; according to the students, the state has the financial conditions and is obliged to take care of them. Finally, it can be noted that bioethical principles are analyzed based on their perception of life, even in the face of conflicting circumstances in which the community may be harmed by individualization.

Keywords : bioethics; patient rights; right to health.
