Over the years, technology has gained prominence, and the pandemic that began in early 2020, accelerated the adoption of technological measures, including in the workplace. One significant transition was shift to digital medical care, known as telemedicine. However, this raises the following questions: Do digital platforms used for telemedicine promote the democratization of access to health care? Do these tools have advantages or disadvantages? This study employs the hypothetical-deductive method, based on a legislative and bibliographical review, to explore themes such as the right to health and access to telemedicine, referencing CFM Resolution n° 2,314/2022. The advantages and disadvantages of this new type of service are also discussed. The study concludes that telemedicine does democratize access to health care, while considering Brazil's unique diversity, territorial dimensions, complex cultural plurality, and significant social inequality.
