Abstract

GARCIA SOLARTE, Mónica. Macro-process: A new approach in the human management study. Pensam. gest. [online]. 2009, n.27, pp.162-200. ISSN 1657-6276.

Human resources management involves processes and strategic activities that serve as backup and support for the Organizations management through the establishment of policies, plans and programs to select, train, reward, develop and motivate the organizations' staff with the purpose to potentiate the human factor as a key element of the competitive advantage of the organization and the creation of value in it. The classification of the processes according to their objective or purpose in macro-processes gives a new approach to human management by identifying and describing five of them in a logical sequence, but they can also occur simultaneously, demonstrating that the processes can not be viewed in isolation and that this union is critical in the pursuit of organizational development and competitiveness.

Keywords : Human resources management; competitive advantage; creation of value; macro-process.
