This work is the search of a methodological proposal of the process for products development. This is framed within the strategic design which aims to reduce not only the process costs, but the development time, as well as to avoid repetitive cycles in the design process and development of products. Being conscious of the interdisciplinary character of the design process and having a systematic focus, the activities, to be developed by the members of the work team who represent the various disciplines involved in the process, are separated in each stage. The proposal is firstly the result of a compilation and review of methodological approaches of the design process. Secondly, it is the result of processes of research, discussion, analysis and constant application in design exercises conducted by the author and is intended as a guide for products development.
