The purpose of this paper is to study the preconditions of the business exchange to facilitate investment in mechanisms for knowledge transfer and its effects on performance in customer-supplier relationships. The results show how companies engaged in the learning manage to achievement of performance goals as the supplier provider of the customer are able to learn through investments in mechanisms to transfer knowledge. To be effective, these investments require prior knowledge of the client firm and a strategic perception of the relationship of learning by the receiver of knowledge, acting as a supplier in terms of trade. The study found that investment in mechanisms for sharing knowledge and commitment to learn the receiver of knowledge, positive influence on learning.
