This article reviews the educational relevance of using the case method of teaching from the perspective of teachers in the Academic Division of Economic and Administrative Sciences (DACEA) of the Universidad Juarez Autonoma de Tabasco (UJAT). The research objective was to determine the feasibility of generating a database of case studies which contextualize the local and regional realities of business and thus contribute to the graduate management students develop managerial competencies. According to the results of the investigation, confirmed the usefulness of case studies in graduate student training in management, to achieve an efficient and effective business management in a local context but with a global vision.
