DUQUE CEBALLOS, José Luis; GARCIA SOLARTE, Mónica  e  AZUERO RODRIGUEZ, Andrés Ramiro. Social responsibility from worker's perceptions in vallecaucana company of world class cosmetics and toiletries sector. Pensam. gest. [online]. 2014, n.36, pp.56-108. ISSN 2145-941X.

This research paper presents the results obtained from analyzing the Corporate Social Responsibility practices implemented by an organization and its workers' perception regarding the matter. The research took place at a multinational company present in Valle del Cauca. The research's goal is to contrast the organization's corporate social responsibility practices towards its workers and their families and hot they perceive it. The methodological focus is qualitative, by performing a case study applying in-depth surveys to the employees. The results show that there is a tight relationship bet-ween the practices, communication processes and the employees' percep-tion regarding these practices. Additionally, it was found that the workers become aware of a practice's existence as it satisfies their needs, which is why sometimes the uniformity of these perceptions is determined by the value that each worker assings to it. It was also found that even though the company does not have a clear CSR policy, the workers' and their families' well-being is an important part of the company's philosophy and organiza-tional values prompted by the management.

Palavras-chave : corporate social responsibility; stakeholder; perceptions; workers; CSR practices.
