Abstract

RESTREPO MEDINA, Liliana Patricia; ARIAS PEREZ, José Enrique  and  LOZADA, Nelson. Comparative analysis of Not-Invented-Here and Not-Shared-Here syndromes, innovation capabilities and innovative performance in service and trade firms. Pensam. gest. [online]. 2016, n.40, pp.31-57. ISSN 1657-6276.  https://doi.org/10.14482/pege.40.8804.

The paper comparatively analyzes syndromes Not-Invented-Here (NIH) and Not-Shared-Here (NSH) and their relationship with innovation performance (DI) and innovation capacities (CI) in business services and trade. In a cluster analysis methodology identified two groups of companies with similar characteristics: Innovative and Upset; an analysis of variance (ANOVA) was also performed to establish meaningful differences in means . As for results, the groups differed in the DI, NIH, NSH variables and only in the CI, construct customer orientation; although, the most important finding indicates that differences in NSH are more significant than in NIH, probably because of the lag in the development of IC Technology Focus.

Keywords : Innovative performance (DI); Innovation capabilities (CI); Not-Invented-Here (NIH); Not Shared Here (NSH) syndrome..
