BANDA ORTIZ, Humberto; GOMEZ HERNANDEZ, Denise  and  CARRION RUIZ, Luis Alejandro. The automotive industry in Queretaro state: a structural change?. Pensam. gest. [online]. 2016, n.41, pp.36-59. ISSN 1657-6276.

ABSTRACT The auto parts and automotive companies have a long history in Mexico. The Mexican automotive industry has had major expansion in the last two decades throughout the country, insomuch that today this industry contributes more to GDP that several states of the Mexican Republic. The importance of the automotive industry in Mexico and the state of Queretaro is relevant to determine whether the manufacturing of Queretaro and national sector exports remain stable over time or were affected by external shocks faced by the country. We used a regression model validated through Chow test.

Keywords : automotive industry; structural change; chow test.
