According to data provided by the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce, branch Fusagasugá, in 2012 926 non-profit organizations of the province of Sumapaz were registered. A differential study of 50 of these organizations was conducted for the economic and social impact generated in the rural and urban sectors of the region. The descriptive-analytic research method was used in development of the aim and an action plan complement this work. Problems were identified as: lack of managerial leadership, weak strategic planning, low level of innovation and production, lack of access to credit, and so on. As strengths of the entities were determined: democratic decision-making, sense of belonging and commitment, motivation for teamwork.
The results obtained were transformed into input to develop breeding programs and training required subjects, designed to strengthen them.
