In order to understand the characteristics of the institutions and their levels of development, it is essential to consider the scope of the organizational culture, a relatively young category that has been reconfigured in recent years. However, not much has been investigated about their different forms of expression and from the mediations that impact on the entities, namely the rise of information and communication technologies, the incidence of structural factors that happen to macro and microsocial level, increased competitiveness, diversification and market demands, the expansion of advertising and sociopolitical dimensions. With this article we propose to reflect on the organizational culture and the place it occupies in the development of institutions. For this, we analyze its key elements, corporate values, socialization mechanisms, types of cultural changes and mediations.
