This paper proposed a scale for identifying network archetypes testing it in the production and marketing structure of cassava gum to determine whether the dominant archetype is in the Community, Consortium, Federation or Hierarchy pattern. Also, it verified the relations of cooperation and competition within the network, identifying the dynamics of coopetition, as the hybrid behavior characteristic of the inter-organizational networks. The methodology was quantitative descriptive, being exploratory research that used data collected with a sample of 59 companies participating in the productive sector of cassava gum in the region of Campina Grande - PB, Brazil. The evidence found allows us to conclude that in the analyzed network the community pattern prevails, with few links between the participants, domain of some organizations, and a typology of competition-based coopetition relations.
