DOMINGUEZ-ACEVEDO, Jhon Diego. Pedagogy of the Memory and History of the Recent Time: A Dialogue between Pedagogy, Memory, and History. Ágora U.S.B. [online]. 2019, vol.19, n.1, pp.253-278. ISSN 1657-8031.  https://doi.org/10.21500/16578031.4129.

The article discusses the formative potential of the pedagogy of memory, testimonial narratives, and the history of the recent time as anchors for the understanding of traumatic pasts in educational settings. To meet this objective, in the first place, the pedagogy of memory on three ver tices is examined: The recognition of how historical subjects; the configuration of societies from the perspective of human rights; and the construction of memories as subjective frames, as well as stresses of testimonial narratives in their educational structure. In the second place, the emergence and consolidation of the history of the recent time as historiography and teaching field is analyzed. Finally, in methodological terms, a pedagogical proposal, which intertwines the testimonial narratives and the history of the recent time as possible approaches in our context, is introduced.
