Amid the armed confrontation among guerrillas and paramilitaries in the Guamocó region (1998-2006) Colombia, communities organized to resist and to remain in the territory. This article seeks to understand the organized resistance actions develo ped by peasant and mining communities, specifically the Community Action Boards (JAC) and the Association of Agroecological and Mining Brotherhoods of Guamocó (AHERAMIGUA), the strategies, which were mobilized by these social organizations in order to overcome fear against the armed and that construction of the collective and territory as an identity.
