Emotions favor mobilizations, but they also hinder them, and that narrative constitutes a privileged approach to understand the dynamics of social move ments and their members. From a narrative approach, we describe the sociocul tural environment, which gives rise to the birth and participation of women in movements of gender claims and collaborative entrepreneurship actions and to identify and to analyze negative and positive emotions, isolated and sequential, which mobilize action and generate solidarity, such as anger, helplessness, and sadness or pride and joy in Afro-descendant community leaders in the depart ment of Chocó, Colombia.

Keywords : Social Movements; Narratives; Emotions; Afro-Descendant Women; and Chocó..
