The COVID-19 pandemic constituted a radical change in people’s lives. In order to identify the implications in the personal, family and social dimensions, this piece of research was conducted with a qualitative phenomenological approach. It highlights the alteration in the family dy namics to implement care measures in the coexistence with patients with COVID-19, which implied greater challenges in the cases of low-eco nomic-income families. The impact on the physical and mental health of people who have suffered from it, and a health system that needs to be strengthened, is highlighted.
