This document attempts to give a general overview of collective rights, and particularly, their distinction in class actions and group. It highlights (noteworthy) the importance of legal debate on collective rights, making a synthesis of his theoretical approach. We will study the issue in the context of Colombian law, in order to reflect and provide a view on this subject in relation to legal developments in Latin America from a comparative perspective.
