HERNANDEZ GONZALEZ, Ángel Uriel; CAICEDO, Pedro Nel  y  CORTES OLARTE, Gonzalo Andrés. Police education in human rights from the interstructuring dialogue pedagogical model. Civilizar [online]. 2023, vol.23, n.44, e20230106.  Epub 17-Feb-2025. ISSN 1657-8953.  https://doi.org/10.22518/jour.ccsh/20230106.

This article shows the research results obtained through the application of the interstructuring dialogue model in police education in human rights, for the development of generic competencies necessary during the exercise of the police profession. Its methodology was based on the socio-critical paradigm, with a qualitative approach, through a case study; The sample selection was based on convenience. The data collection used the in-basketball technique applied in two phases (pretest and posttest); With the results of the pretest, the initial diagnosis was made, from which six didactic sequences were constructed in which the structure of opening, development and closing is preserved. In pedagogical practice, observation and the field diary were used as instruments for collecting information. Once the thematic contents were developed, the post-test was applied to evaluate the development of institutional competencies by the students. Finally, it is evident that those who were educated through the interstructuring dialogic pedagogy (experimental group) obtained better performance than those educated with the traditional model (control group).
