Abstract

AGUILAR MEJIA, Oscar Mauricio  and  QUINTERO ALVAREZ, María Ximena. Collective memory and organizations. Univ. Psychol. [online]. 2005, vol.4, n.3, pp.285-296. ISSN 1657-9267.

This study was focused in recovering the collective memory of a cooperative of urban transport in Bogotá, inquiring into the frames of reference that it gives to the practices inside the organization and which allow the recognition of this memory in its environment. The study was oriented from a qualitative perspective and the information was obtained using groups of discussion, trying this way to accede to people’s particular constructions when they “remember together” past events. The data obtained was organized by means of matrixes and trees of relationships. Categories were established on these stories, which were analyzed by means of discourse analysis.

Keywords : Memory; forgetting; organization; transport.
