Study of the Attitudes of University Students Coming from Social Sciences and Psychology: Relevance of the Information and Contact with the Disabled. Univ. Psychol. The aim of this article is to know the attitudes of university students coming from Social Sciences and Psychology towards people with disabilities. These students are registered in subjects in which information is provided on the disability. It also tries to analyze the influence of the contact with the disabled. The Escala de Actitudes Hacia las Personas con Discapacidad by Verdugo, Jenaro y Arias (1995) was applied. This scale was administered to 470 students from University of Granada. The results showed that the students presented positive attitudes towards the disabled, although there are exist some differences according to the degree studied and being in addition relevant the fact of having maintained contact with the disabled. These findings are discussed in relation to previous research and suggestions for future investigations are considered.
