Resumen

GIL-MADRONA, Pedro  y  MARTINEZ-LOPEZ, María. Self-perceived Emotions in Physical Education in Primary. Univ. Psychol. [online]. 2015, vol.14, n.3, pp.923-936. ISSN 1657-9267.  https://doi.org/10.11144/Javeriana.upsy14-3.eapc.

The present paper shows the results and main conclusions about the study of self-perceived emotions which predominate in the students and teachers in Physical Education classes in 6° grade of Primary Education, which implies a novel approach: an emotional one, that has been insufficiently treated in educational research up to now. The sample is comprised of 376 students in 6° grade Primary Education and 14 teachers who teach Physical Education classes to these students. We have designed two measuring instruments: DIFSEME and EMOC which have shown optimal levels of reliability and validity. The results show that students experience high emotional intensity, in this case, of a positive nature, which manifests itself in a high prevalence of positive or pleasant emotions and the near absence of negative or unpleasant emotions. Teachers do not seem to manifest especially intense or extreme emotions nor with respect to positive or negative emotions, leading the teacher to settle in an 'emotional neutralityi. In any case, one may observe certain prevalence of negative emotions over positive ones. Significant differences were observed between students and teachers regarding the experienced emotional intensity.
