In Peru industrial heritage issues are not yet an institutionalized discourse, nor does a tradition of valuing and preserving this extraordinary legacy exist. This article approaches the historical and present condition of Peruvian tangible and intangible industrial heritage. It is based on conceptual, normative and historical references and practices related to the specific situation of Peru's industrial heritage.
