Abstract

BARRERA-SINGANA, Carlos Andrés  and  VALENZUELA-SANTILLAN, Alex David. Métodos de simulación de armónicos en sistemas eléctricos de potencia Harmonic simulation methods in power systems. Iteckne [online]. 2020, vol.17, n.2, pp.73-82.  Epub Mar 01, 2021. ISSN 1692-1798.  https://doi.org/10.15332/iteckne.v17i2.2466.

Harmonic simulation on power systems can be performed using methodologies which are focused on time and frequency domain. The solution of power systems under harmonics require a complete and detailed solution of grid equations, and consequently, different techniques and methodologies are used to solve these equations, since robust and fast convergence can ender more precise results. On the other hand, not only methodologies are important, but also component models, which are a mathematical representation of real behavior of electrical devices on power systems. Set in this context, models and techniques are essential to simulate and obtain results, which are measured and compared with international standards on electric power quality; subsequently, impacts and possible techniques for power quality improvement by mitigation of harmonics could be proposed.

Keywords : Harmonic domain; hybrid frequency-time domain; nonlinear elements; time-varying.
