Resumo

Thesis in this research is to study the probable use of comics as a tool for higher education teaching. Its objective is to establish conditions and characteristics comics should have as tool for teaching. The research takes into consideration a reference sample of informants and is conducted through observation, interviews, writing of journals, and study of documentary sources. Main conclusions are that comics has a didactic potential, which has been underused for teaching and that higher education institutions should encourage its use and do research for validating its potential. A didactic proposal is established for promoting use of comics in higher education. The three researchers are teachers and use images in their classes.
