This article is an interpretative analysis of the song ''A la Sombra del Ceibal'' of the Uruguayan singer-songwriter Jorge Drexler, which is presented as a polysemic text open to the interpretation of listeners forming several readings. Comments from blogs, journalistic notes, and YouTube videos were used, as well as information provided by the artist in an interview, with the purpose of knowing different points of view and appropriation the musical text provokes.
