This text is about the categorization and description of the phenomenon of recruitment and involvement of minors in the ranks of the illegal armies in Colombia, taking based on the research conducted on the topic by governmental and non-governmental organizations (national and international) files and national press. It responds to one of the results of the research project 'Campaign documentation, education and public opinion towards a culture of respect for the rights of children in areas of conflict in Colombia, incident in the formulation and implementation of public policies with the theme 'Developed by Ong's Instituto Popular de Capacitación- Medellin- y la Fundación Cultura Democrática- Bogotá-.
