Undoubtedly, the most important juridical event of the 20^th century is birth and consolidation of a juridical discipline which is intended to regulate capital-work relationship in an autonomous way. This article is intended to describe the difficulties faced during birth of the right to work and those processes experienced during the evolution of this branch of law; the article also makes a description of those trends experienced by this discipline early in the 21^st century.
