This article is a reflection on the food satisfaction problem in Colombia. This is made from a public policy point of view. For this purpose, a question is posed on the tools the Colombian law has developed from 1967 to 2008 before the hunger and malnutrition events. Although public policies in Colombia have been the tools to promote protection of the food right, such statement may seem a paradox in a country where establishment of rights is the basis for their protection.
