This article proposes and collects, in a systematic and coherent manner, the main aspects that must be considered when referring to a precise category of compensation for damages, such as reparation by equivalent, that is, compensation for damages compensatory and moratoriums; category that includes all the possible patrimonial damages that can be claimed inside the processes for contractual breaches. In this line of thought, the logical relationship between these categories of compensation is established with the types of breaches that may occur in contractual matters and their connection with institutions of the law of damages such as the emerging damage and lost profits.
