Through this paper we aim at show the advantages and benefits of the Virtual Learning Environment: learning applications in real processes of internationalization and the social impact of education through the project 'Design and Implementation of a feedback and interactive information system applied to the strengthening of communicative skills in isolated communities in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Africa, using new Information and Communication technologies (NTIC)'. This project aims at supporting the missionaries of the Consolata which works in isolated areas. In addition to the academic benefit, the system will also strengthen the social and economical development of those regions.
