Abstract
ZAMBRANO, JHON JAIRO and GRASS RAMIREZ, JOSÉ FERNANDO. RAW MILK HYGIENIC QUALITY ASSESSMENT IN THE MILK PRODUCERS ASOCIATION OF SOTARÁ - ASPROLESO, THROUGH INDIRECT TESTS OF REZASURIN AND METHYLENE BLUE. Rev.Bio.Agro [online]. 2008, vol.6, n.2, pp.56-66. ISSN 1692-3561.
This investigation allowed to find the relation between the two colorimetric tests used as indirect methods in the determination of the hygienic quality of raw milk, as it is, One hour Resazurin test and Methylene blue reduction time. To do that 315 samples in duplicate were analized, leading to the perform of both tests in a parallel way, allowing to find significant diferences for the next statistics: ranges with Wilcoxon signs and t-student with P<0.001. The obtained samples resulted from the pursuit along 6 months of the raw milk storage process in the milk producers Asociation of Sotara (ASPROLESO), located in Paispamba, Sotara´s town - Department of Cauca. Parallely to this research, raw milk transportation effect in the hygienic quality was determinate, through a comparative between the quality of the delivered milk to gathering vehicles in farms and the quality in the moment of the reception in the storage center (Cooling plant) in the municipality of Paispamba. For this assessment 280 samples coming from the 4 production and recolection zones of raw milk (Chapa, Piedra León,Ullocos and Paispamba) were analized. The Data obtained were analized by Marginal averages for the fourth routes. The researching allowed to identify that between both tests Resazurin and Methylene blue, Methylene blue reduction time resulted in a wider accuracy degree for the hygienic quality determination particularly because it demands a mayor requirement in the reports
